Help Us Help Labs!

There are hundreds of Labrador Retrievers across the United States that are in desperate need of a new home. Every day, puppies and adult Labs are put to sleep because there is a shortage of funds to rescue, foster, and help place these dogs into warm, loving, and caring environment. These dogs need a second chance at life and that is why, every month, 8PawsUp.com Labrador Retriever will donate 10% of its profits to the Labrador Education and Rescue Network (L.E.A.R.N.)

Hi! I am trying to help by rescuing a lab, but I can't find a group in my area. I found a really great dog but they won't adopt more than 50 miles away. Why is that? Why won't they let me save that dog? Brenda

Some Lab Rescues will work with you to do dog transport so you can usually work with them to either find a transport group or even post your information on a dog forum such as LabNet. If the rescue won't work with you it may be because they are not familiar with transport or have had problems with it in the past. I recommend you contact LEARN to see what they may be able to do to help... they may be able to work with you to smooth out the kinks with the other rescue or you can find a Lab through their rescue.

Good luck and let us know how it goes!
