Luckily everyone around us also has dogs, so we are not the only ones with a vocal pet and my neighbors assure me that they cannot hear her (I think they're lying, because I can hear their dog, but it's nice of them to lie).

I'm just glad we live in a very dog-friendly place. In our last apartment, I would not have gotten a dog because it would have annoyed the neighbors.thejoysofjesshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03773397263437912866noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20358620.post-60403583989746341782008-03-04T13:36:00.000-06:002008-03-04T13:36:00.000-06:00Pepper only barks when she is in her kennel while ...Pepper only barks when she is in her kennel while we are at work. She really only does it when she hears us come home (I think) and we don't go straight out there to get her. We have dogs all over the neighborhood though who are out all day long and like to bark at anything. I think the people around us are used to it by now. As long as she is not out there barking after a certain time at night your neighbors have no reason to complain. If they want quiet during the day they need to move to the country.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20358620.post-41491938872641355022008-03-03T09:57:00.000-06:002008-03-03T09:57:00.000-06:00We bring our little princess into the house as soo...We bring our little princess into the house as soon as we hear a bark. We have never had any complaints on her barking because all the neighbors surrounding us (1 on each side and 2 behind) leave their dogs out to bark all day (and night) long. We don't want her to think this is a good thing though so if the other dogs are barking we bring her in before she can join in the chorus. If she's out for 30 minutes and lets out a few peeps we are ok with that but the constant barking the other dogs do is just annoying and we don't want her to pick up that habit. I think this helps to teach them to bark only when it's absolutely necessary.josh and anniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09132758274345148567noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20358620.post-33468075289616014672008-02-29T22:38:00.000-06:002008-02-29T22:38:00.000-06:00Just dropping in to say hi! If I get annoyed with her barking at times, surely neighbours do too.

Serendipityihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15237993584181913208noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20358620.post-25205767900284500282008-02-29T20:04:00.000-06:002008-02-29T20:04:00.000-06:00We had a neighbor who was trying to make our lives...We had a neighbor who was trying to make our lives difficult and called to complain that our dogs were doing a number of things, one being barking. Our dogs are only outside alone for less than 20 minutes and bark when they are playing or chasing squirrels. Now I feel that I have to scoot them in the house when they let out the slightest peep.

JamieJamiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14084465369821519729noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20358620.post-51375264006458194892008-02-29T14:28:00.000-06:002008-02-29T14:28:00.000-06:00woofies Brats, hmmm yes it iz true, but me mama lo...woofies Brats, hmmm yes it iz true, but me mama loooks at it like, iffin her has to listen to there kids yell, scream and all dat, then dey can listen to me and my brudder Bear...

b safe,
;)lacyluluLacyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14660217893493612836noreply@blogger.com
